New Client Success 2016
2016 has seen us win new work with Aviva, NHBC and Barratt David Wilson Homes.
We have joined Aviva's panel of contractors working on low value perils claims for them. A new team has been established to look after their work and the relationship is developing well. Whilst initially the volumes and claim values have been low there is potential for both to grow as confidence and understanding grows.
A new team has also been dedicated to assisting NHBC with their instructions. Building defects in new homes require careful treatment as do the Homeowners and Amanda and Lee have excelled in providing service and expertise. Repairs are completed to exacting standards and it is rewarding to return properties "as good as new".
Barratts have instructed us on a £1.5m refurbishment project of a Victorian Workhouse Building. Most recently known as Moorgreen Hospital this 1900 sq m property over three storeys with 2 detached lodge houses has some unique features which have been retained by the planners as a condition on the development of the rest of the site. 100 new homes are being constructed in the grounds whilst the main building is to be converted into 19 flats, and the lodges into 2 detached bungalows. It is an exciting project and great to see new life being given to what had become a derelict eyesore.

2015 Results
Topmarx Directors, auditors and accountants have been busy finalising the accounts for 2015. In many ways this has been a year without surprises which has seen steady progress made on many fronts. The business has emerged stronger and fitter following a quiet year which saw very few of the peaks and troughs which tend to characterise work in the insurance industry which continues to provide our primary source of instructions.
Our workload has steadily increased throughout the year allowing us to increase our resources and structure ourselves in accordance with the needs of our clients. At the same time we have been able to look at new clients and determine how we can develop ourselves to take on additional projects and deal with existing clients most effectively. Credit is due to our teams in the field who continue to excel, delivering excellent works to time and budget and to our staff who continue to build effective working relationships with clients essential to carry us through the ups and downs of day to day business life.

LBG Return to Topmarx
It is with some pride that we are able to announce that LBG have decided to entrust their reinstatement works with us following a short period of assessment and negotiation. Our range and depth of experience in the validation and repair of building damage for insurers was significant in their decision to send a significant proportion of their claims to us across the south coast area.
LBG have established a ground breaking methodology in the handling of claims focussing strongly on making a difference for the customer. All actions are judged on this criterion cutting out unnecessary touches and waste.
We have established a dedicated team to deal with LBG instructions and they are enjoying the challenge of the new work and new working methods. The team is led by one of our most experienced surveyors Mark Kenward who commented, “It is really nice to be working again with many of the familiar names at LBG who we have worked with in the past over many years. The new system of working gives us a real opportunity to demonstrate our capabilities again.”
